FPV Octocopter and Skywalker

Back in August we went out for a flight. Kesmi AB (Kenneth) and me, UndCon for a joint operation. We got up early and hoped to catch some cool aerials but there was strong winds and some mechanical problems. A gyro on the Octocopter camera rig was not working and the FPV link for the Skywalker didn’t want to show me a picture in my goggles. Eventually I solved the picture by connecting the video RX to power :)

We got a few flights and here are a few clips from both our vessels. Kenneth’s Oktokopter2 from Mikrocopter and from my Skywalker. The flights are not really enjoyful due to strong wind – but I choose to post the video anyway.

I hope I can fly more with Kenneth and to combine our camera rigs to produce a video we can both be proud of. (I have a few locations in mind)

Please visit Kesmi and find out about his aerial photo

Where did you get that supersize cloverleaf antenna, I want one?

    Hello!
I made it myself according to the instructions by IBCrazy’s blog. The size is due to me using 1280mhz so the wires are long.
I built my antenna from MIG wire. Read more here

Measurements for most common mhz are all there.

    Best regards

IB Crazy clover leaf antennas work great , we use them on all our quadcopters now.

    Hi!
Yes they are really good – I would not fly FPV without them – only have to make a pair for 5.8Ghz as well.
