Turnigy 9X/frsky PPM

I have been working to get the PPM signal working on my Turnigy 9X with FRSKY diy module. I found out that the receiver (D8R-II) needs to be flashed/reprogrammed to enable PPM out. I purchased a FRSKY UPGRADE LITE and a D4FR receiver from GiantCod in UK.Fast chipping, great service and in stock!

Great – now I have a Upgrade Lite so I can reflash the DIY module and my D8R-II but the best part is that D4FR has PPM out by default. I only bridge ch3 & 4 with supplied jumper and hey presto!

I initially purchased this little 4ch RX to be used indoors on my foamie – but in PPM it has 8 channels so I can use this on my MultiWii Quadcopter.

A while ago I contacted a Swedish forum member discussing the Turingy 9X and he was kind enough to send me his ER9X file – the programming in the radio. I simply binded the 4ch RX with the radio and connected it to a Paris board with a single servo wire – way cool – all channels work and I have even more options now than with my Spektrum DX7 and AR6100′s I used earlier.

Now I can control AUX1 and AUX2 and I can control angles of camera gimbal If needed.

Super cool – now I have to reflash my Paris-board on my Quad.

Thank you Fredric for the ER9X config
