This poor heatsink belonging to a AMD Tbird 1000 wasnt working properly :)

The computer rebooted randomly and behaved very odd! The owner thought he had got some virus or something and asked me to have a look.

The only thing i noticed after a quick look in the bios was that the cpu temp was 1° celsius ! Now we were getting suspicious, i opened the case and put my hand on the fins and they were burning hot.

We removed the heatsink from the cpu and replaced it with a similar but bigger one. and now its running fine again.

Verdict:
If you have 2 dogs sleeping next to your computer - check your system, it might be full of dust and hair just like this one

Best part:
The AMD cpu survived +101 degrees celsius - not very common!
(the 1° celsius indicated that the bios couldnt handle 3 digit temp but in farenheight it was no problem and there it said 214° F
