Sonar

I have some plans for a Sonar so I purchased a simple kit from Vellemann. this lets me adjust range to a preset value and take action (exactly what I need) so I’m going to try to code some C for a Microship PIC processor and add the sensors to that one instead thus giving me more control of the Sonar. I want to trigger action by a selected threshold (distance)

Tricopter

I am currently building a Tricopter that I intend to use for Aerial foto and FPV (First Person View)

An onboard camera records the picture and transmits the picture that I receive on the ground. The picture can be seen on a monitor or laptop or on video goggles that I wear on my head.

The camera can be controlled by head movements If I add headtracking features so I can control the camera as well. My idea/intentions with aerial photo is that a person can control the camera totally independant of flight controls and the Tricopter is sturdy enough so I can add a systemcamera with long lens as well for superior photographs as well as recording in HD format.

This is an ongoing project and costs quite alot of money so things are slow but steadily moving forward. I’am waiting for the video goggles, the OSD (On Screen Display) as well as other FPV-specific equipments.

A tricopter is a very sensitive item, it is not capable of flying without gyros(i have 4) and at this point when it was mounted to the work-bench it almost flew away with it.
